Scheduling Policy

Thank you for choosing Edinburg Animal Hospital for your pet care needs! Due to continually increasing client volume, we have implemented scheduling policies to ensure your pets can be seen in a timely and efficient manner.

Late Arrivals and No-Shows:

Out of consideration for our other clients and patients, we kindly ask that clients arrive on time for their scheduled appointments and provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they must cancel. We understand that extenuating circumstances may arise where you must miss your appointment or show up late. However, penalties may be imposed in the event that a client routinely arrives late or no-shows to appointments.

Late Arrivals
Our hospital provides a 10-minute grace period for clients who are late to their scheduled appointment. After 10 minutes, we cannot guarantee that the doctor will still be available to see your pet. Late appointments cause all appointments thereafter to run behind, so these policies are put in place to ensure that all scheduled appointments can be seen in a timely manner.

No-Call No-Shows
While we do our best to accommodate our client’s needs and schedules, no-call no-shows can have a severe effect on our practice and our patients. When clients do not give notice before missing an appointment, that leaves an unused appointment in our schedule which could have been given to other sick/injured patients who need urgent medical care. Our practice allows 1 no-show appointment without penalty. After a client’s 2nd no-call no-show, we will require a non-refundable deposit prior to scheduling any future appointments. Any appointment cancelled/rescheduled less than 3 hours in advance is also considered a no-show, and the same penalties may apply after more than 2 late-notice cancellations.

Non-Refundable Scheduling Fees:

A non-refundable scheduling fee is required to book any new patient exams or surgical procedures. Our office has experienced a drastic increase in appointment bookings; such high demand for appointments means cancellations significantly impact our hospital. Scheduling fees have been put in place to mitigate these effects.

New Patient Scheduling Fee = $25
Surgical Scheduling Fee = $200
Cat Neuters + NJ House Rabbit Society Procedures = $50
All scheduling fees will be applied towards the final bill on the day of your exam or procedure.

Surgery Scheduling Fee

All surgery scheduling fees are non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows. Any late cancellations or no-shows will result in a 100% forfeit of the scheduling fee.

If you wish to cancel your surgical appointment, the hospital requires notice at least 2 business days prior to your scheduled procedure in order to receive a refund.

In the event that you wish to reschedule, you are not required to pay another scheduling fee so long as the hospital is given notice 2 business days prior to your scheduled procedure.

New Patient Scheduling Fee

All new patient scheduling fees are non-refundable.

Any cancellations or no-shows will result in a 100% forfeit of the scheduling fee.

In the event that you wish to reschedule, you are not required to pay another scheduling fee so long as the hospital is given notice at least 2 business days prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Any appointment rescheduled less than 2 business days in advance will result in a forfeit of the scheduling fee; an additional deposit will be required in order to reserve a new appointment slot.
